Entitled the, “Wood Forever” program, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco unveiled the project to the media. This happened during the Monaco Yacht Show. The Show includes a gathering of luxury sailing charter vessels, new builds and motoryachts.
SUSTAINABILITY MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Wood Forever program represents a conscious step towards environmental and social responsibility.
The Prince recognized Burger Boat as the first official Wood Forever member. This happened at during a press conference and ceremony in September. Burgersigned an agreement to analyze their wood supply chain, and committed to develop a sustainable wood purchasing policy to fight deforestation.
His Serene Highness is hopeful other yacht builders will follow Burger’s example in order to drive the yachting industry towards environmental excellence.
