Another superyacht owner makes an annoucement. RoMEA relocates to the Caribbean for the upcoming winter/spring season, and he offers a special charter rate.
Abeking and Rasmussen motoryacht RoMEA arrives in the Caribbean in early December. She is 270 feet 35 inches, and she’s gorgeous. She plans to participate in the winter 2016/spring 2017 St. Martin yacht charter season.
A 2015 yacht, moreover her first year in charter service in the Mediterranean. She now joins a growing list of superyachts relocating to the Caribbean in December. For instance, 58 meter Benetti yacht ILLUSION V.
RoMEA is ranked 84th on the list of the world’s largest yachts. Yacht RoMEA accommodates 12 charter guests in six staterooms.
She is part of a growing fleet of wellness yacht charter vessels. These yachts are “floating spas.” Onboard amenities include many wellness experiences. For example, massage services, indoor and outdoor cinemas, and a beach club with steam room. Guests use the yacht’s extensive watersports inventory. For instance, underwater sleds, windsurfers, and stand up paddleboards SUP’s. In addition, scuba gear (for certified divers), kayaks, and water skis are available.
The published charter rate for ROMEA is €875,000 per week, plus running expenses.

Some of the newest and largest yachts host many celebrities and VIP’s at the event. Privacy is hard to come by for celebrities in attendance. Luxurious superyachts offer discreet accommodations and security. They also offer a private venue for parties and business meetings.

We are pleased to announce CMN Yacht CLOUD 9 received two trophies during the recent ShowBoats Design Awards.
The 60-meter superyacht and her designer Andrew Winch took two trophies. The first, the award for Best Exterior Design & Styling Award – Motor Yachts. The second, for Best Interior Recreational Area.
The awards ceremony took place in October at the exclusive Mar A Lago Club. Specifically, it is Donald Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Florida. The awards are sponsored by ShowBoats International,
A two-day Superyacht Design Symposium was held. After the symposium, 350 guests gathered for an evening of cocktails, a gala dinner, and an awards ceremony honoring the industry’s creative talents. Those awarded specifically include yacht architects, designers, stylists, craftsmen, and innovators in yacht technologies.
Cloud 9 catches the attention of the judges for her clean, simple, chiseled elegance. She is new to the yacht charter market, with just two Mediterranean seasons under her chartering belt. Judges remark upon her well laid-out decks. The decks facilitate ease of movement. Her seamless windows reflect the sky and sea.

Topping a fatherland rival by building the world’s largest yacht wasn’t good enough. Lürssen Yachts gobbles up their leading competitor. The German company takes over the entire operation.
At this time, Bremen-based Lürssen Yachts announces the acquisition of Hamburg’s superyacht builder, Blohm+Voss.
According to Peter Luerssen, Managing Partner, “With the acquisition of Blohm+Voss we are taking over a shipyard with a strategically advantageous location and versatile production facilities. We want to use these facilities to complement our existing refit and repair activities and also to offer our customers an ever better service.”
With the 2013 launch of the world’s largest yacht, the 180 meter motor yacht AZZAM, “The big L” wrestled the top spot away from the Roman Abramovich-owned motor yacht ECLIPSE, a 162.50 meter Blohm & Voss GmbH vessel launched in 2010.
Of the 10 largest yachts in service today, Lürssen has built 5 of them, including 3 of the top 5.
Many Lürssen charter vessels are among, the largest yachts offered for hire. Specificially, 94 meter (308ft) Lürssen yacht Kismet II and 70 meter (230ft) Lurssen motor yacht Martha Ann.

As they say, Good things come to those who wait.
In the case of #Benetti yacht #ULYSSES, a more timely saying is, “You snooze…you lose!”
To encourage some pre-season charters before the summer crowds arrive in the Mediterranean, 1-800 Yacht Charters has announced deep discounts in the weekly charter rate for Super yacht ULYSSES, now (April) through May, 2016 in Italy, #Monaco, and the South of France.
The charter rate has been slashed from €255,000 per week down to €200,000 per week – a savings of 22%.
The black hull and cool beige superstructure of 183 foot Benetti superyacht is striking. Her size imposes, but she is inviting in layout and amenities. Indeed, her exterior is modern and unique in design. Her Stefano Natucci interior is majestic. The yacht features classical decorations. For instance, marble artworks, chandeliers, and rare pictures. Her decor melds Renaissance and Baroque. It also features a few subtle touches of Gothic Art.
Entering the saloon, you can admire an antique grand piano hand-crafted by Steinway & Sons over 100 years ago. Don’t worry if no one in your charter party knows how to play – the piano has been fitted with a digital controller, allowing it to play Tchaikovsky, Chopin, or even a more contemporary tune.
A maximum 12 guests are accommodated in 6 staterooms. The Master Suite is situated on the main deck and features an office, hairdressing salon, and en suite bathroom with adjacent steam room. A Special Events discount is also available for a Cannes Film Festival yacht charter and/or a #MonacoGrandPrix yacht charter. For special events, Ulysses’ discounted rate is €255,000 per week, reduced from the regular event rate of €280,000 per week.
