Each week or so, we take a look at one or two of the finalists for the 2011 World Superyacht Awards. Many of the newest and largest yachts available for crewed yacht charter have been nominated.
BATON ROUGE is a nominee for Best Displacement Motor Yacht in the 60 to 84-meter range “yacht.”
This six-deck yacht boasts more volume than most other 63-meter luxury yacht charter vessels currently on the water. Motor yacht BATON ROUGE was built by Icon Yachts, and features the exterior styling of Tim Heywood, with interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
Fully-stabilized and optimized in every respect for luxury living afloat, her extensive interior guest areas include multiple lounges and a choice of dining options, which cohesively encompass both townhouse elegance and beach house chic to suit one’s mood.
The yacht offers accommodation for 12 guests in 7 large cabins. The master is situated on the main deck, while two VIP cabins are on the upper deck. Two doubles and two convertible doubles/twins are found on the lower deck of yacht Baton Rouge.
The interior offers beautiful woods, leathers, marbles, and nickel and bronze details, as well as handcrafted furniture and original artwork. The vessel’s contemporary interior is considered both serene and stylish.
The exterior deck areas are nothing short of expansive, and they serve as great outdoor spaces for lounging and dining. There’s an ondeck hot tub on Baton Rouge, and a dedicated sundeck which converts to a party deck, as well as a beach club lounge at sea level.
State-of-the-art entertainment and communications systems exist throughout the yacht. For physical fitness buffs, there is a gym and a very comprehensive inventory of water toys and tenders.

She spends two years in the traditional cruising grounds of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Now it’s time for a change. The 2010 Royal Huisman sail yacht TWIZZLE embarked upon an ambitious Far Eastern cruise. Asia yacht charter vacations sound unique and exciting.
Commencing with her recent appearance at the 2012 Asia Rendezvous, the 57.5 meter yacht TWIZZLE is now in Phuket – in position for exploring the Andaman Sea through April 2013. The skipper’s planned itinerary includes Thailand, Burma, Andaman Islands, Malaysia and Singapore yacht charter options.
In May that year, we saw this magnificent luxury sailing charter vessel with her towering and graceful lines win a judge’s commendation in London at the sixth annual World Superyacht Awards. In addition to her numerous awards for design and construction, she has impressed scores of charter guests as a fast, yet comfortable passage-maker. No doubt, Asian yacht charter enthusiasts will reach the same conclusions this spring.
