The naval architects at Espen Oeino International S.A.R.L. continue to raise the bar of superyacht design. Their latest offering is Sunrise Yachts motor yacht IRIMARI.
Delivered to her owner in July, the 63 meter yacht is currently cruising in the Greek islands. So far there is no word if the vessel will be entering the Greek yacht charter fleet.
Sunrise 63 yacht IRIMARI makes her official debut at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.
Per our friends at Boat International, one exciting “superfeature” to be expected inside motoryacht Irimari is “…a video wall spanning two decks!”
Espen Oeino International is considered one of the leading design studios of private yacht charter vessels. They base in Monaco. Their specialty is in the category of Superyachts. Their portfolio includes Lurssen motor yacht MARTHA ANN, and the world’s largest yacht available for charter, Fincantieri yacht SERENE.
TURKISH BUILDER
The launch of yacht IRIMARI marks the first of the Sunrise 63 series to splash down for the Turkish builder. The Espen Oeino designed yacht features interiors by Focus Yacht Design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design. Built with a high tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the yacht has a transatlantic range of 5,000 miles, and a top speed of 17 knots.
Her owner initially plans spending time onboard. We hope to see this beautiful yacht enter the charter marketplace.
Natori boasts a distinctive and avant garde exterior by Francesco Paszkowski. Her beautiful interior is by Bannenberg Design.
INTERIOR
The interior is a combination of Italian cabinetry and African materials. This creates a sophisticated and unique décor. Guests enjoy fantastic accommodations for 10 passengers in five cabins. Natori has a full width master suite on the main deck with its own private ensuite full beam his and hers bathroom. She also features two VIP cabins and two cabins (one Pullman) on the lower deck. All of her staterooms have ensuite bath. The roomy interior areas are enhanced by a large bridge deck. This deck offers room for sun loungers, and a shaded dining area for 12 guests.
EXTERIOR
The sun deck features a large Jacuzzi and ample sunbathing spots, along with wet bar and a sitting area. The main deck has plenty of space for shaded dining, and exercise buffs can stay fit and trim in the yacht’s gym.The vessel boasts a full array of watersports equipment and all the latest entertainment systems.
Finding the best prices for crewed catamaran charters and super yacht charters has never been easier. Travelers looking for exceptional value at sea can turn to a new webpage offered by 1-800 Yacht Charters.
WHO IS 1-800 YACHT CHARTERS
1-800 Yacht Charters, known for offering the newest and largest yachts in the world’s best destinations, has created a web page featuring seasonal last minute specials, free days onboard, and exclusive deep discounts. Specials are available for select catamarans, sailboats, and motor yachts…RIGHT NOW!
COMPANY PRESIDENT COMMENTS
The company’s President, Jana Sheeder, feels the time is right to go beyond “selling” charter vacations.
“The dynamics of our global economy are evolving,” says Sheeder. “We continue to see the weakening of the value of the dollar against the euro. This means travel to Europe continues to become more expensive for Americans.“
Sheeder continues,
“Many of our yachts transact in Euros. By focusing on value, we can offer savvy travelers an opportunity to mitigate the effects of a surging euro. Offering deep discounts and free, extra days onboard helps offset the gap between our US currency and that of the European Union.“
WEBPAGE FEATURES
The new web page displays a dozen or so yachts, both in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, offering significant savings for rentals; for example, at 311 feet 8 inches (95 meters) in length, motor yacht INDIAN EMPRESSis one of the largest yachts in the world. Her weekly rental rate is €600,000. Sheeder is offering a rate reduction of €200,000 per week for summer 2011 bookings.
“Saving almost 25% helps offset the nearly 35% currency premium between the dollar and the euro,” states Sheeder.
YACHT CHARTER DISCOUNTS
The discounts also apply to more affordable yachts as well. The 60′ catamaran NIRVANAis currently based in the Caribbean and can accommodate a group of 8 to 10 family and friends. Her regular rate is €13,300 per week, but for remaining available dates in February and March, the rental rate is slashed by 15%.
BOOKMARK THE SITE
The specials are updated frequently, so visitors to the company’s website are encouraged to BOOKMARK THE www.1800yachtcharters.com SITE and check back often for more great offers!
What do you get when… Merge these items. The vision of a new yacht owner who has never owned a boat. The talents of Europe’s leading design studios. Holland’s premier yacht builder.
This beauty launched in July. She is the latest creation by Feadship Royal Dutch Shipyards. Superyacht JOY’s owner is a young American from New York. She is not only the first yacht he has ever built. She is the first yacht he has ever owned.
COMPANY PRESIDENT COMMENTS
Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters, commented on how the owner’s lack of involvement in the yachting industry led to the creation of a unique vessel, unlike any other yacht in the 70 meter range: “You take an ambitious, youthful person, who has no pre-conceived bias as to what is expected when you design and build a superyacht, and you open the door to a fresh perspective on how a yacht can reflect the owner’s vision of what The Superyacht Experience can be.”
At the commencement of the project, the owner’s brief was simple and clear. He brims with the optimism of youth. “Create something totally different to every other yacht.”
FRESH APPROACH NEEDED
Recognizing the need to bring a fresh approach to the entire project, Feadship reached out to designers never before retained. For the avant-garde exterior, they turned to the design studio of Bannenberg & Rowell. Interior architecture is by Studio Indigo. Visually, superyacht JOY looks like no other. The wide walkways and flow between the interior and exterior spaces are without precedent on superyachts of this size. Dickie Bannenberg comments. “You will see there are a lot of sculpted and rather complex surfaces that give the design a very unique look.”
THE CHALLENGES
Of course, crafting the fascinating concave shapes in the yacht’s superstructure presented challenges to the builder. The launch ceremony, as always, is grandiose. Feadship director Jan-Bart Verkuy comments as always. “JOY was an incredibly complicated boat to build with so many shapes and lines. We are very grateful to the fairing gods at Feadship. Also, to all the other craftsmen who have showcased their skills on such a unique boat.”
The proud new owner is equally pleased. The results of the challenging build amaze. “Studio Indigo has worked amazingly hard to produce such a gorgeous design with an incredible focus on detail. I’m also delighted with Bannenberg & Rowell’s sleek and progressive profile that reflects my desire to go forward into the future.”
THE NAME IS SYNONYMOUS WITH THE OWNER
Joy’s name reflects the owner’s joyous enthusiasm for life. M0reover, the opportunities for self-growth and exploration. These things that only time aboard a yacht can bring. The owner reflected on a recent visit he made to New York’s Central Park. “When I saw the statue of Columbus it reminded me of how much joy this explorer felt when he first saw land. Today is my moment of joy as something I have long dreamt about has come to light. I’m incredibly happy and sincerely grateful to Feadship and all the other team members who made this happen.”
SHEEDER COMMENTS
Sheeder is thrilled with the wellness yacht charter potential of the yacht.
“The mix of spa-like amenities is amazing. From her Jacuzzi sun deck, to the massage room. To the ocean-level beach club. Where else can you exercise in a gym with panoramic views of the sea? After which, rest and reflect in a minimalist interior with textures and colors? All of these designs to invoke feelings of tranquility and wellness?”
“In a sea of cookie-cutter designed boats, this is a transcendent yacht that will quickly set a new standard in the charter market.”
There is an old saying in football. When your team is on offense, “take what the defense gives you.” In other words, make the most of the opportunities that come your way.
No one understands that mentality more than our head honcho, Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters.
Every President’s Day weekend, #Jana rallies our team, and we invade the Miami Yacht Show. The show is held in Miami Beach, Florida. This year’s show runs from February 15 – 19, 2018.
The Miami Yacht Show
The Miami Yacht Show is known predominately as a “sales” show. Few yacht charter brokers attend. They prefer to wait until the charter-only show season in late Spring. What they don’t realize, and Jana does, makes her a leader in the industry. Multiple charter yachts quietly list for sale. They attend shows like #Miami before entering the charter season.
Sheeder and her team use this opportunity to inspect yachts and interview crews privately. Competitors cannot try to eavesdrop on our conversations. They are not in attendance! Fewer distractions and interruptions enable us to spend quality time with the crews. Firstly, we discuss our past charters. Secondly, we plan fresh itineraries and activities for guests. We look for ways to deliver a unique #Superyacht Experience to our repeat and new clients.
UBER? NO, THANK YOU…
Of course, having more time to see the yachts only matters if you can get to the yachts – a tall task when the superyachts are spread across Miami Beach in two locations – one in front of the classic hotels along Collins Avenue, and the other 4 miles to the south, at Jungle Island Deep Harbor Marina.
Anyone who has visited Miami Beach during the yacht show knows the roadways are snarled by heavy vehicle congestion. It can literally take an hour in traffic to travel just one mile along Collins Avenue, with drivers cruising slowly to gawk at and take photos of the hundreds of yachts docked just feet away from the roadway. Whether in a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or private car – it’s all the same: traffic, traffic, traffic…
Fortunately for us, Jana developed the ultimate solution to avoid gridlock – we zip around the marinas and pull up at the docks via boat! Professional, fun, and unique – wonder what she has up her sleeve for the future?
We use limousines and suv’s at every show to cater to clients. Cars and traffic do not mix.
For this year’s show, we used a Jupiter 31 center console model (after our Van Dutch 55 had mechanical problems). [Side bar: The Van Dutch is a stylish cruiser, and some of our superyacht clients had flown in to inspect several luxury yacht charter vessels with us. We thought they would be bummed not to cruise “in style” on the Van Dutch 55. Turns out they had a blast with Jana – roaring around Biscayne Bay in the fast Jupiter, and cruising up the Miami River for a dockside late lunch and sunset at the Casablanca Seafood Restaurant. A special bonus was the sighting of a manatee and dolphins! The Miami Magic…]
FOR CHARTER…
Some of our most popular charter yachts (and crews) came to town, including:
DOUBLE DOWN – 213 Foot Codedasa superyacht selected last season by one of our clients for a 10–day Greek yacht charter odyssey through the Ionian islands. [Click on the yacht name to see photos we took at the Miami Yacht Show…]
BLISS – 145 Foot Heesen charteryacht – a fantastic modern yacht with a fun-loving crew who delivered a memorable Balearic islands yacht charter holiday to one of our Dutch clients and his family last July.
QUITE ESSENTIAL – 180 Foot Heesen – eco-friendly motoryacht with impressive looks and great interior comfort. Another great superyacht for clients.
STUNNING NEW YACHT…
We also took the opportunity to inspect some brand new yachts for sale. Why would we look at yachts not currently in charter? Many buyers in the market for a brand new yacht will often buy a yacht, then enter it into the charter marketplace. If this is done after the boat show season, there may not be an opportunity to inspect the yacht for many months. We prefer to promote charter yachts that we have inspected, and while that’s not always the case, taking the time to look at popular, newly-built models increases the odds that we will see a new charter yacht before our competitors do. We’re always looking for ways to stay a step ahead!
Our favorite new model at this year’s show is the NAVETTA 33, from the custom series of yachts built by Italy’s Ferretti Yachts.
Ferretti has already sold ten hulls since the model was launched in 2017. After inspecting this yacht, it is easy to see why. The Navetta 33 Ferretti features a voluminous interior flooded with natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows. We walked through with one of our clients who has designed contemporary interiors for luxury suites in NBA arenas – and she was just as impressed!
THE 1-800 YACHT CHARTER DIFFERENCE…
So there you have it – another great yacht show for 1-800 Yacht Charters. Jana took our team (and our clients) on some of the most popular luxury yacht charter vessels found anywhere in the world. We also saw newly built yachts, and we’re anxious to see them enter the charter market.
Most importantly, we had the opportunity to spend quality time with our clients and share with them another aspect of our dedication to Delivering The Superyacht Experience…
They say, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” It seems like yesterday we were looking forward to the launchings of 2011’s newest yachts, and planning charters for special events like the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and the 2011 Monaco Grand Prix.
YEAR WINDS DOWN
As the year winds down and clients make their last-minute preparations for Christmas and New Year’s Caribbean yacht charters, we take a minute to look back at our most popular yachting-related stories of 2011:
Going on a Virgin Islands yacht charter is loads of fun, but getting there can be tedious. Having a cool new gadget on hand is a great way to kill some time…
While gossip websites circulated a series of photographs purporting to show the “Gossip Girl” actress posing naked, Blake and Leo were seen relaxing and laughing onboard motoryacht SEVEN SEAS, Speilberg’s multi-million dollar superyacht, during the recent Cannes Film Festival 2011…
It has been said a great vacation is all about escaping. For many, that means escaping the confines of their homes and the rigors of their work. For others, it is best achieved by escaping the confines of their clothes…

Jana Sheeder, President of The SailAway Group reflects on the Monaco Yacht Show – one of the greatest showcases of luxury charter vessels in the world. Each year, approximately 100 megayachts from 25 to 90 meters long are on display. What makes this show truly unique is the number of new yachts on hand. About 40 of the newest superyachts delivered in the past 12 months are on exhibit…
