Sardinia Luxury Tax on Mediterranean Yacht Charter Vessels Abolished

Posted by admin
From September 28 through October 1, some of the most expensive and largest yachts for charter will come together at Port Hercules, Monaco for the 2016 installment of the Monaco Yacht Show.
Three of the largest private yacht charter vessels offered for hire by 1-800 Yacht Charters will be in attendance. Here’s a quick glimpse (please try not to drool):
Tankoa motor yacht SUERTE
Imagine any over-the-top amenity, and chances are this 227 foot superyacht has it. The penthouse master stateroom offers 180 degree views, a private study, and private deck with a hot tub (of course). Other guests who wish to soak shouldn’t feel snubbed – there’s another hot tub with a waterfall located on the aft sundeck. [Rates from €525,000 per week; Caribbean in winter and Mediterranean in summer.]
International Shipyard Ancona yacht OKTO
At nearly 218 feet, this vessel is more luxury day spa than yacht. Built for wellness yacht charters, she features a massage/beauty/therapy room (a beautician and massage therapist are part of the crew), guest elevator, indoor cinema room, and a 20ft swimming pool (salt or/ fresh water, heated or cooled, with contra flow current). [Rates from $400,0000 per week; Caribbean in winter and Mediterranean in summer.]
Lurssen motor yacht MARTHA ANN
Make sure your feet are clean when you walk across the interior carpets – they’re silk and valued at $17 million dollars. This 230 foot yacht offers 7 guest cabins, and a classical-style interior by famous designer Francois Zuretti. A large Jacuzzi “Swim Spa” on the upper aft deck double as a lap pool, with an adjacent wet bar with 11 stools – 4 of which are underwater in the spa. [Rates from €600,0000 per week; Caribbean in winter and Mediterranean in summer.]
In conclusion, we help plan The Superyacht Experience™ for you.

The naval architects at Espen Oeino International S.A.R.L. continue to raise the bar of superyacht design. Their latest offering is Sunrise Yachts motor yacht IRIMARI.
Delivered to her owner in July, the 63 meter yacht is currently cruising in the Greek islands. So far there is no word if the vessel will be entering the Greek yacht charter fleet.
Sunrise 63 yacht IRIMARI makes her official debut at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.
Per our friends at Boat International, one exciting “superfeature” to be expected inside motoryacht Irimari is “…a video wall spanning two decks!”
Espen Oeino International is considered one of the leading design studios of private yacht charter vessels. They base in Monaco. Their specialty is in the category of Superyachts. Their portfolio includes Lurssen motor yacht MARTHA ANN, and the world’s largest yacht available for charter, Fincantieri yacht SERENE.
The launch of yacht IRIMARI marks the first of the Sunrise 63 series to splash down for the Turkish builder. The Espen Oeino designed yacht features interiors by Focus Yacht Design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design. Built with a high tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the yacht has a transatlantic range of 5,000 miles, and a top speed of 17 knots.
Her owner initially plans spending time onboard. We hope to see this beautiful yacht enter the charter marketplace.
In conclusion, interested in chartering a yacht like this one? Here is a sampling of some of the newest yachts for hire.

Informa’s British-based global exhibition division makes an announcement. It acquired Yachting Promotions Inc. Yachting Promotions is doing business as (d/b/a) Show Management. They produce three of the world’s largest in-water boat shows. For instance, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Yachts Miami Beach, and the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Yachting Promotions Inc. owners are Active Interest Media. AIM is a magazine publishing company. It is co-headquartered in El Segundo, CA and Boulder, CO, USA
Informa paid $133 million for Yachting Promotions Inc. (YPI). It was purchased specifically from AIM – Active Interest Media.
Show Management produced the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. It is held at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center in perpetuity. The company also produced the Palm Beach International Boat Show. In addition, they produce the Miami yacht and Brokerage Show. The Miami yacht show recently renamed Yachts Miami Beach. Other shows include St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show and Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota, Florida, additionally.
In 2006, Active Interest Media (AIM) purchased Show Management. Show management was formally renamed Yachting Promotions, Inc.
A prepared statement by Andrew Clurman, AIM’s president and CEO follows. Moreover, the sale of Show Management to Informa is part of the company’s long-term strategic plan to accelerate their growth.
“AIM will reinvest the proceeds from this sale to grow our digital video, online education, marketing services, and events in our other verticals.”
Informa’s acquisition of Show Management equals the company’s plans. Specifically, to expand its global exhibitions business in the U.S.A. They also produce the Monaco Yacht Show. This acquisition consequently makes Informa Exhibitions unique. It is the world’s leading yacht show organizer. How will shows change with the new purchase? Will the yacht shows now have red carpets? Specifically like the Dubai International Yacht Show (DIBS)?
Our company president, Jana Sheeder, recently attended the 2017 edition of Yachts Miami Beach. She and Team 1-800 Yacht Charter team inspected several private luxury yacht charter vessels. For example, Lurssen motor yacht MARTHA ANN, James Bond yacht SKYFALL, and the brand new Benetti motor yacht 11.11. Jana comments on the acquisition of Show Management by Informa.
“Informa operates over 200 trade and consumer exhibitions around the world annually. With their global resources, I believe Informa is positioned to focus on the continued growth and success of the world’s finest boat shows. In terms of exposure of charter yachts to prospective clients, this should be a good opportunity for cross promotion; for example, we should be able to promote a winter/spring Florida yacht charter vacation to a client while a particular yacht is here in Miami at Yachts Miami Beach – then bring that client to Monte Carlo in September and host them on the same yacht during the Monaco Yacht Show. I’m excited by the chance to extend customer relationships across multi-show platforms and destinations.”
In conclusion, learn how a private yacht charter vacation can help you. You reconnect with others. Family and friends joyfully spend time with you. Embrace diverse cultures. Rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit. We call it “The Superyacht Experience™.” We want to share it with you!

Megayacht charter customers take heart – the luxury yacht industry is alive and well. Superyacht sales soar in September 2009. Without active purchases and sales of yachts, there is no viable luxury sailing charter or megayacht rental industry. All sales bode well for the future.
September saw a number of 2009 brokerage sales records broken. In conclusion, 24 superyachts sell at asking prices totaling nearly 374 million EUROS. This is well above the combined total of July and August of 340 million EUROS. January to the end of April add to the number of superyachts with new owners – all to the tune of 372 million EUROS.
A few sample yachts finding new owners include:
Charlie Birkett, a yachting employee, comments:
“Understandably, expectations for what was once the start of the busiest season for yacht sales were conservative across the industry this year, and major brokerage houses reacted cautiously even to the apparent signs of recovery in August. However going into September we saw recovery consolidated somewhat with sales of the 60m+ yachts of prestigious yards and, speaking to other leading brokers at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the mood was certainly more optimistic.”
Basically, what his quote expresses is that the season starts slowly due to the economy, and as sales pick up, optimism grows.

Thanks to The Robb Report and writer, Viju Mathew for sharing this unique luxury yacht.
<< The beauty behind Sander Sinot’s 590-foot Symmetry yacht concept is its sophisticated sense of balance. The Netherlands–based founder of Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design named the bespoke behemoth after its symmetrical hull and stern, allowing for equal maneuverability in both directions. The design duality carries over into the lavish living spaces, where interior and exterior boundaries become exquisitely blurred.
The dedicated owner’s deck, for example, will feature a stateroom that can be opened up to flow onto its private outdoor lounge and infinity pool. And on the Beach Deck, a floating lounge with a seawater pool will be able to extend out across the ocean. In all, Symmetry will provide over 10,700 square feet of usable exterior deck space, including a glass-bottom pool on the Guest Deck and another 56-foot-long pool on the Hotel Deck.
Inside, the yacht’s six decks of indulgence house a spa, a garden, a gym, and a selection of dining and bar venues. For young ones, a theater and playroom provide distraction on the Lower Deck. Aquatic amenities will include two 33-foot tenders, a 46-foot day boat, and six personal watercraft.
She accomodates up to 34 guests. Specifically, in four ensuite VIP rooms. Each with a personal lounge and balcony. In addition, there are 12 cabins. Within the owner’s inner sanctum is a private spa, an office, a library, and a skylounge. >>
Edited.
The steel-hulled yacht is environmentally-balanced. It benefits from an electric Azipod propulsion system. Subsequently making possible a top speed of 20 knots. It is controlled from twin navigation stations on the Wheelhouse Deck. Sinot introduced Symmetry at the Monaco Yacht Show last month. A new owner, or Bond villain, is welcome to commission it.
There will always be a Bond film that’s ready for her!
We hope that a buyer commissions this high-caliber, impressive yacht. Subsequently entering her in the superyacht charter industry. Fingers crossed!

Her celebrity owner used the yacht all summer. On-again/off-again Mediterranean yacht charter superyacht SEVEN SEAS heads to the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show. The show is September 21 through 24.
The spectacular 86 meter (280 ft) Oceanco motor yacht SEVEN SEAS has been in the news throughout the summer. Steven Speilberg owned yacht hosted family and celebrity friends, for instance, Gwyneth Paltrow, Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Oceanco’s signature infinity swimming pool is on the aft deck. It can be conveniently transformed into a helipad.
