Tenders- The Limo Look – Next Generation

LARGE YACHT ISSUES

The largest yachts in the charter marketplace are getting larger.  In particularly, finding adequate dockage is difficult.  Many marinas cannot host 70+ meter long vessels. Large yachts anchor at sea. In addition, they use tenders to shuttle guests to the shore.

ENTER LIMO TENDERS

Tenders quickly transport passengers.  Accordingly, guests DO get wet from the mist of the ocean.  At other times, errant waves create dampness.  Taking a tender to a black-tie event at the Cannes Film Festival is not elegant!

WATER LIMOUSINES

For this reason, the next generation of superyacht tenders remedies the problem.  Namely, fully-enclosed water limousines.

HODGDON YACHTS

Hodgdon Yachts is the latest builder of enclosed tenders.  They are known for sailing yachts built in cold-molded wood. For instance, Antonisa (1999), Scheherazade (2003), and Windcrest (2006).  The company consequently offers a line of luxury tenders created by Michael Peters Yacht Design.

LIMO MODELS

There are 3 models of limo tenders available to list.  Namely, a 10.11 meter Sport Tender, a 9.15 meter Center Console Tender, and finally, a 10.50 meter model. All details are customised, for example, hull, deck colors, wood trims, materials, and deck treatment.

SEVEN SEAS

The first Limo Tender by Hodgdon is on Steven Spielberg’s Oceanco superyacht, Seven Seas.

TENDER FEATURES

A Limo Tender is built in GRP and carbon with teak decks and varnished mahogany.  Additionally, it is powered by a Volvo D6-370 engine with a top speed of 32 knots.

INTERIOR

The limo tender interior seats 12.  Including leather, air conditioning, icebox, and audio video systems.  Most importantly – everyone stays dry!!!

HOW TO BOOK A YACHT CHARTER
