LYANA is now named SWAN. (Click to access her profile and to book this gorgeous Benetti!)
Entering her third season in the Mediterranean, motor yacht SWAN looks as fresh and inviting as the day she launched.
SWAN luxury Benetti superyacht
The Benetti yacht charter vessel is the epitome of elegance. Someone effectively blended contemporary style with classic touches.
Sixty meter SWAN and her crew are now seasoned veterans. They are ready to deliver a highly satisfying summer charter. This yacht is capable of cruising at 14 knots. She shares Western Mediterranean. Her itinerary includes destinations such as the Amalfi Coast, Corsica, Sardinia, Monaco, St Tropez and the Côte d’Azur.
Let’s take a closer look at M/Y SWAN. Interior by Paris-based Pierre-Yves Rochon design. It offers classic shapes, set in a color scheme of beige and crème for furnishing and upholstery. Everything is framed by dark lacquered wood for cabinets and joinery. Uniquely, a collection of fine artwork by Botero, Dali, and others spreads throughout the interior.
One charter guest described this area as, “Tasteful, with an overall calm and hospitable feel.”
A central spiral staircase connects all interior decks. Adjacent to this central area is the owner’s office which serves as the entrypoint to the master suite. Lavishly spacious, this room has the look and feel of a fully-equipped spa. The massive bathroom features a rainforest shower area with hydro-therapy jets. The stateroom itself is bathed in natural light via a circular central skylight, and a semicircular array of windows that turn this room into a luxurious private observation lounge with panoramic views beyond the yacht’s bow.
Motor yacht SWAN can accommodate up to twelve guests, with additional staterooms found on the upper and lower decks. Located on the lower deck, two doubles and two twins can be found, all adjacent to the central staircase. Each cabin has sumptuous ensuite bathrooms.
On the upper deck, a VIP suite doubles as both an extra stateroom as well as a massage and wellness area. A licensed masseuse is onboard and at the guests’ disposal.
The aft section of the upper deck features an open-air saloon where a bar, games table, and multiple seating arrangements can be found. Although this may be true, the large space allows for both intimate dinner parties as well as elegant cocktail parties.
Charter rates from €320,000 per week.

Cannes Yacht Show to welcome new yacht. Get ready for the next generation of sport yachts from Britain’s most famous builder – Sunseeker.
The brand new Sunseeker 116 motor yacht FLEUR will make her world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6-11, 2016), highlighting the Brit yard’s bold, muscular vision of the future of mid-size megayachts built for the Côte d’Azur yacht charter marketplace.
Forged from the hull of the popular 115 Sport Yacht, Sunseeker yacht FLEUR is full of eye-catching angles, held in check by a few soft curves. A reconfigured main deck is both spacious and bright – thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows in the salon, a raised center ceiling, and an open floor plan.
Careful not to let her relaxed elegance fool you. Sunseeker 116 models like motoryacht FLEUR can hit a top speed of 26 knots. This places ports far south of Cannes within easy reach.
Dinner in Porto Cervo tonight, anyone?

The yacht spends time in the Med. The sleek black-hulled superyacht owned by Roberto Cavalli often enjoyed by the Italian designer. In addition, his family and a handful of his closest friends, also enjoy the superyacht.
Cavalli Sells the yacht. The boat is originally named motor yacht RC. After a two year major interior refit, the vessel reemerges as Baglietto motor yacht ABILITY. The summer 2016 season will mark the first time the well-known yacht is available for private luxury yacht charter rental.
The new owner pays homage to Cavalli. The yacht enjoys a signature refit by interior design artist Mary Georgiou. She uses exotic prints. The fashion designer’s former yacht now radiates modern Italian style. Décor borders on excess. She features such items as flamboyant textiles, gold leaf lamps, and African tribal and Grecian art. A touch of abstract art here and there ties the scheme together as sophisticated and modern. Rich wood floors and furniture, along with the abundant use of animal prints and faux fur offer warmth to the yacht’s sleek, angular lines.
Accommodations for 10 guests are offered in 5 cabins, including a master stateroom on the main deck, and 4 guest cabins below deck.
Quickly zipping from port to port is a breeze on yacht ABILITY. How about breakfast in Genoa, and lunch at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Sardinia? While itineraries like this are beyond the same-day reach of most superyachts, powerful waterjet drive engines propel this bullet-looking yacht at speeds in excess of 30 knots.
If exotic couture is your thing, the Cavalli-inspired motor yacht ABILITY is the perfect vessel for your upcoming summer Italy yacht charter adventure.

France’s efforts to seek an exemption from VAT on yacht rentals has failed, and starting July 15, 2013, charterers can expect to pay an additional 9.8% for their Côte d’Azur yacht charter.
For years, the majority of Mediterranean yacht charter vessels based in France were registered as commercial vessels. This is a strategy that allows their owners to sidestep VAT on the purchase of fuel and on the prices charged for charters. The European Union prevailed in court to force France to follow EU VAT guidelines. Beginning July 15, charters are subject to the nearly 10% fee.
“We are investigating other countries in the European Union as alternative Mediterranean yacht charter destinations. Gibraltar, for example, has no import duty for yachts over 18 meters – and no VAT.”

May 8 marks the conclusion of the 21st Annual Genoa mega yacht charter yacht show. The industry-only event draws the top luxury charter brokers and charter journalists from around the world.
It is held at Marina Molo Vecchio. The Genoa boat show showcases 65 mega yacht Mediterranean yacht charter vessels, although it attracted 100 fewer brokers than last year, most likely due to the economy.
The number of megayacht and superyacht vessels that are actually in the show bases on the number that can fit at the available dockage. Several mega yacht owners get disappointed, as a few superyachts are always left on the waiting list.
WHO ORGANIZES THE GENOA YACHT SHOW?
The show is organized by the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA). Yachting-related vendors set up booths along the docks. They represent diverse products, from yacht insurance to hotel and tourism destinations. The most common yachts desired for Mediterranean yachting vacations are motoryachts. Private sailing yachts dominate the Caribbean yacht charter marketplace.
The majority of yachts in the Genoa show are motoryachts, with the largest being the 70+ meter superyacht models, Boadicea and Haida G this year.
New yachts with new crew attend the show. This benefits an industry aching to expand beyond the economic downturn. New private luxury charter yachts include LEO FUN, BIG CITY, PAOLYRE, SALU, SLIPSTREAM, and many more.
The 2008 season was sluggish due to the global economic meltdown. Many brokers at the Genoa show cite an uptick in the number of inquiries for a summertime charter. Brokers, owners, and crew are all optimistic for a rebound in luxury mega yacht charter vacations this summer.
The buzz on the docks this year shows interest by both yacht owners and charter customers. Exploration of areas outside of the standard cote d’azur yacht charter locale is buzzing. Potential charter customers inquire about Croatia yacht charter vacations and Greece yacht charter outings. Yacht owners notice the buzz from charter brokers. As more clients express interest in a region, more owners are then willing to relocate their megayachts to non-traditional destinations. Some of these places include Turkey, Greece, and Croatia.
To learn more, contact 1-800-YACHTCHARTERS at t https://1800yachtcharters.com/book-now-contact-us/. Prime high season dates remain available for yacht charters. Many new yachts and large yachts in the world’s best destinations await your call.

St. Tropez
The same holds true in the mega yacht charter industry. As more and larger yachts clamor for dockage, vessels without advanced reservations are often forced to anchor at sea and tender their clients ashore.
Nowhere is this more evident than in Saint-Tropez, France. The jewel of the Côte d’Azur, when “The Season” arrives, the odds of securing a slip in the fabled town’s small marina are next to impossible – no matter who you are or who you know…
