THE HEESEN DIFFERENCE
Known for their unique speed among large superyachts, and their sleek exterior lines and modern interiors, Heesen yacht charter vessels like motor yacht OCTOPUSSY (once the world’s fastest yacht), and Formula 1-inspired superyacht AURELIA are among the most popular charter yachts for clients who appreciate the advantage of a swift vessel. The advantage of a fast yacht means that charterers can enjoy more anchorages in a shorter amount of time, as compared to slower yachts. Thus, a vessel like yacht SEVEN SINS can easily incorporate a charter from St. Martin and St Barts in the leeward islands of the Caribbean, with an outing to the Virgin Islands far to the north – all within a week’s time.

YACHT CHARTER TESTIMONIAL
Before arriving in the Caribbean in December, the yacht spent the summer in French Polynesia. Here’s a copy of a testimonial written by a client to the owner of yacht SEVEN SINS at the conclusion of his Heesen yacht charter superyacht experience in the Pacific:
“Dear (Owner’s name),
You don’t know me but, although we have never met, I think I know more than a little about you.
I just finished a charter of the M/Y Seven Sins in French Polynesia. And based on everything I saw and experienced on your boat and with your crew tells me that you not only have fine taste, but you have the same eye for quality and pay the same attention to detail that I try to do in my own projects.
I develop, own and operate retail and mixed use real estate projects in the Dallas, Texas area. And though it drives many around me crazy, I cant (sic) rest unless every element of my project is perfect…from the design, to the construction, to the finishes and materials, to the retail and restaurant tenants [and their own design and finishes!], and beyond.
TESTIMONIAL CONTINUES
On the Seven Sins, I saw that same unwillingness to accept ‘good enough’ or live with things that work ‘pretty well.’ I’ll be honest…I looked hard to find flaws, problems or issues….not so that I could complain, but rather because I just can’t help myself! It’s who I am and it’s what I do! And I can tell from what I saw…it is who you are too!
I am pleased to report to you that every aspect of your vessel and your crew were, in a word, impeccable. Beyond all of my very high expectations in every way.
This email is simply to say ‘thank you’ for sharing your vessel and its able and charming crew with us. (and) I hope I’ll get the chance to spend some more time on her perhaps again in the South Pacific or perhaps in the Caribbean.
Thanks again,
(Client’s name)”
WOW! What a fantastic testimonial from a client with discriminating tastes.

UPDATE! Sailing yacht SALPERTON IV renamed PALMIRA, and had full refit in 2017.
Built by Fitzroy Yachts, the sailing superyacht Salperton IV has recently been launched. Salperton IV is 45 meters in length. In addition, she is the latest superyacht to be built by Fitzroy Yachts of New Zealand. This yacht is one meter longer than Salperton III.
Fingers are crossed that the Mediterranean yacht charter fleet will soon welcome yacht Salperton IV to the family. Earlier incarnations of Salperton have spent years delivering mega yacht charter holidays to customers around the world. Two of the earlier vessels are still available for sail boat charters under the current names of Northern Spirit (37 meters) and Drumbeat (53 meters).
Sail boat charters are extremely popular in the Caribbean, and all eyes are upon this latest incarnation. The superyacht cost an estimated $30 million. She is 215 tons, took two years to build, and is the eighth megayacht that Fitzroy has built in the past 12 years.
Accommodations include four en suite state rooms and three crew cabins. For extra luxury, she also has a gym and a spa pool.
260,000 hours have gone into the construction of the (hopefully soon-to-be) luxury sailing charter vessel. She has many features. For instance, she is fully air-conditioned, has her own sewage treatment station, and can make 15 tons of water per day. Additionally, she carries 30 tons of fuel, and has a 850-horsepower Cat engine, in case there is no wind.
It is the second yacht the company has built for British owner, Barry Houghton. The earlier Salperton III was launched in 2007, the company’s 10th anniversary, and won two international awards the next year. The design concept for number IV was for a yacht which sails and performs even better than number III.
As with number III, Adam Lay Studio came back to create the yacht’s interior design work.
It has been reported that the yacht departed New Zealand today, with her owner onboard, for a three month Pacific cruise. The sailing yacht will then cruise the Caribbean, before heading up in the Mediterranean in the summer of 2010.
The 203 foot motor yacht ICON has announced. In specific, she plans to position for the winter and spring in the Caribbean.
A 2010 build, motor yacht ICON accomodates 12 guests in 6 staterooms. Further, she features a crew compliment of 16.
Beach club
BEACH CLUB AND MORE
Designed for extensive world cruising, she is a high-volume megayacht yet appears sleek and elegant, with a contemporary design throughout. The yacht offers luxurious accommodations. In addition, she has an amazing “beach club” deck area with an adjacent fitness room. Access these directly from the lower guests cabins.

Huge decks spaces, state of the art entertainment systems and an exceptional crew make this a first class Caribbean yacht charter option.

THE GIST OF THE STORY
The idea of enjoying a Caribbean yacht charter in St. Lucia just got a whole lot easier. United Airlines adds the tiny island nation to its network of flights to the Caribbean from the United States.
The air carrier’s inaugural flight flew on July 11th, 2015, from Newark, New Jersey’s Liberty Airport, to St. Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) on Saturday. United will offer one flight a week on Saturdays, from Newark to St. Lucia, on a 154-seat Boeing 737-800 jet.
“In looking at United’s domestic schedule, it appears customers will be able to connect to Newark from 22 cities in the U.S., including Chicago, Boston and Washington,” says Sheeder. “This is great news for our clients seeking a private yacht charter in the Windward Islands of the Caribbean, as the biggest challenge for years has been the scarcity of flights.”
In the past, it was necessary to connect in Puerto Rico or St Martin and take regional flights to get to destinations such as St Lucia and St Vincent.
Long a popular stop for the cruise ship industry, the addition of direct flights will make it easier for North Americans to experience the beauty of St Lucia from the deck of a private yacht. Charter clients are treated to the views of spectacular twin mountains, specifically the Pitons. The island celebrates its uncrowded volcanic beaches and quaint fishing villages. In addition, its reef-diving sites and lush rainforests and waterfalls.
WHY IS CARIBBEAN GREAT PLACE TO CHARTER?
Sheeder believes eco-friendly yacht charter options are the best way to enjoy St. Lucia. “With constant trade winds, a quiet, but spirited vacation on sailboat is the ideal way to enjoy a St. Lucia yacht charter experience.” Sheeder recommends the affordability and comfort of a catamaran, with room for the whole family. “There are great, affordable, family-oriented yachts, with crews adept at entertaining children of all ages, with exciting games and watersports,” claims Sheeder.
Some of the crewed catamaran yacht charter vessels recommended by Sheeder include Sunreef 62 sail yacht CATSY, Lagoon 620 sail boat catamaran CROCODILE DADDY, and the speedy Gunboat 66 sail catamaran TIGER LILY.
Flight availability for your private luxury yacht charter vacation is just that much more convenient with more commercial airlines offering availability to the area.
