Superyacht AURELIA – unique paint job
This yacht boats a color scheme common at the Monaco Grand Prix. The 37 meter Heesen motor yacht AURELIA plans to relocate this winter to Saint Martin. This is just before the Caribbean yacht charter season. The stunning, brand new yacht is available from mid December, 2011 through April 2012.
Her paint job is inspired by the owner’s passion for racing cars. Motor yacht AURELIA features an unusual exterior paint job from Dobroserdov Design. Likewise, the Bannenberg & Rowell interior of motor yacht AURELIA is race-inspired as well. Luxury yacht charter guests are impressed by the richness of materials and elaborate details used to create the yacht’s interiors.
She accommodates 8 guests in four staterooms. Each cabin represents a racing car designer. The master suite is located forward on the main deck. There are 3 double guest cabins on the lower deck. First, Bertone (orange Lamborghini), second, Pininfarina (red Ferrari), and third, Zagato (green Aston Martin). These are the race car designers inspiring the décor of the guest cabins.

Her rate is €105,000 – €120,000 per week. This cost is plus running expenses (such as food, fuel, bar and dockage).

Imagine a few days in the sunny, warm waters of Spain. We hear exciting tips from the owner and crew onboard the 37 meter Heesen motor yacht AURELIA. After making a week-long appearance earlier this month at the Palma Superyacht Show, the crew reports a shiny new sticker now appears on the yacht’s windshield – a Spanish charter license – the mandatory requirement of any yacht wishing to legally offer Balearic Island yacht charters.
The Formula 1 race inspired motoryacht is now fully-licensed and legal to begin and end charters in Spanish waters, affording the head-turning yacht a distinct advantage over other yachts for hire. Like any “racing team,” the professional crew of 6 is motivated to show up the competition – to the delight of their onboard guests!
“Foreign flagged yachts can enter Spanish waters,” explains Jana Sheeder, President of 1-800 Yacht Charters (a boutique company specializing in luxury yachting vacations for HNWI), “but unless they are licensed in Spain, they cannot pick up their guests in Spanish waters, nor can they charter to Spanish residents. Securing a Spanish charter license is a real plus for our clients who wish to spend their entire superyacht experience in Spain, especially in the most popular destination, the Balearic Islands.”
The 37-meter motor yacht AURELIA features a unique exterior paint scheme, more synonymous with Grand Prix racing cars than superyachts. Her interior by Bannenberg and Rowell continues the Formula 1 theme, with décor and guest cabins colored to pay homage to famous racing designers like Pininfarina and Bertone. Four staterooms offer accommodations for up to 8 guests.
Looking for fun AND relaxation? Check out the yacht’s amazing collection of toys and amenities for both watersports and onshore recreation. For instance, wakeboard, kneeboard, and towable toys. In addition, a 5.5m Castoldi jet tender, 2 electric bicycles, and an air chair. Further, a 2-person SeaDoo (255 horsepower), 2 SeaBobs, and a 1-person and 2-person kayak.
Need more toys? Here they are! Moreover, an inflatable banana, 3 sets of SCUBA DIVING gear (Rendezvous RDV diving only), a large anti-jellyfish swimming pool, and a diving board on flybridge. Lastly, fishing rods, extra-wide waterskis, normal waterskis, and training waterskis.
What an exhausting list… Wow!!!
Summer rates for incredible superyacht AURELIA start at €105,000 per week.
Get ready for a fun summer in the Balearics onboard this sleek, fast, famous, and resplendent Heesen superyacht.

Presenting powercat THUNDERBIRD 2. A motorized catamaran with a very unique paintjob! Thanks to Sarah for letting us know that it should be included in this blog. We agree! Go green! #gogreen
Everyone knows that picking house paint colors isn’t just difficult, it’s terrifying! Pick colors that are blah, and your house will seem featureless and flat. But if the colors you pick are too bold, they might overwhelm the architecture…and upset your neighbors.
The best colors will highlight the most beautiful features of your home. Skillful use of color can even disguise design flaws, boosting the, “curb appeal” and market value of your home.
Finding that magic color combination also holds true for luxury mega yacht charter vessels.
The first thing a potential client sees when preparing to rent a private yacht is the exterior. The “dock appeal” must catch the attention of the prospect and pique his curiosity to see the interior as well.
Traditionally, yachts were painted simply – clean, bright white. With modern technology, new paints and colors that resist fading and the harsh marine environment have been developed. Now, the only limit to the exterior color scheme of a yacht is the owner’s imagination.
Here’s a sampling of unique paint schemes and colors on some of the newest and largest yachts around the world:
QUITE ESSENTIAL – With a striking color scheme of Oyster White and Merlot Red, developed by the owner in close collaboration with Dobroserdov Design, Heesen motor yacht Quite Essential will certainly not pass unnoticed in the Mediterranean yacht charter fleet. It is said the red color was inspired by the owner’s love for Merlot wine!
SLIPSTREAM – celebrity owner, former American Idol judge, and X-Factor creator Simon Cowell, is known for wearing simple, dark colored T-shirts against pale blue jeans. The classic deep blue hull and gun-blue superstructure of Cowell’s yacht Slipstream sets the scene for a truly nautical and contemporary super yacht.
BLACK and WHITE – the distinctive black and white theme onboard motor yacht BLACK AND WHITE is based on the ancient yin yang symbol, a Chinese sign for the mixing of complementary opposites. Launched in 2010, this magnificent Sunseeker 34 yacht mixes not only color, but also high-end amenities and comfort with performance and power.
MISTER JINGLES – the global debt crisis has focused great attention on the value of gold. The color gold draws nearly as much attention, especially on a yacht painted stem to stern in this shiny, metallic palette. Designed and built by Italy’s Fashion Yachts, motor yacht Mister Jingles debuted as a luxury yacht charter vessel in 2009. The metallic performance yacht boasts a 35 knot cruising speed – perfect for quickly getting from one famous port to another.
AURELIA – recently, we profiled yachts named after race horses by their loving owners. It seems another type of race fan – Formula 1 cars – is just as proud to display his passion on a yacht. The 37-Meter Heesen motor yacht Aurelia boast an unusual color scheme from Dobroserdov Design, inspired by the owner’s passion for racing cars. Zoom Zoom Zoom!
