After a 3-year absence, James Bond yacht OCTOPUSSY returns to the Bahamas yacht charter market, newly refit and redesigned – and looking better than ever. Inspired by the James Bond film of the same name, the eponymous yacht first came into prominence for her off-the-charts speed. When originally launched, Heesen yacht OCTOPUSSY set the speed record at 53.17 knots, as the fastest superyacht in the world.
HEESEN YACHTS – Pushing The boundaries Of Performance And Design
No longer the fastest yacht, #OCTOPUSSY may have lost a little speed (she now cruises at 35 knots, (about twice as fast as most #superyachts), but what she gained in comfort and amenities outweighs the speed differential. A multi-million dollar refit includes a new, extended sundeck with raised sunpads and hot tub, and state-of-the-art entertainment system upgrades everywhere.
Jeff Lincoln Interiors is credited with the yacht’s new décor, featuring sumptuous fabrics and textures, all while retaining a classic yachting theme. Navy blue and crisp white colors create the nautical theme – from the deck areas, to the salon, and guest cabins. Every aspect of the yacht’s interior furnishings (soft goods, flooring, headliners, etc.) was redone from scratch – stripped down to the original aluminum shell.
When viewed in its entirety – the extended decks, new interior layout and décor, full paint inside and out, and renewal or replacement of virtually every system onboard – it is more accurate to view this as a new yacht, rather than a refit.
Three “MUST VISIT” Charter Destinations
Refit specifically as a charter yacht, the new layout sleeps up to 12 guests. In specific, in 5 staterooms.
The full-beam master stateroom is forward on the main deck. It has great ocean views. Additionally, his and hers baths and a massive walk-in wardrobe.
Guest cabins are below deck. Guests reach them through a beautiful blue atrium staircase.
The yacht offers four nearly equal-sized staterooms. Each features an en-suite bathroom and shower.
The two forward cabins each offer versatile layouts. Each has two lower twin berths and a Pullman berth. The Pullman is suitable for a child. These twins reconfigure to form a King bed. In other words, they allow the yacht to offer five double staterooms.
Two aft staterooms offer centerline Queen berths. In addition, en-suite bathrooms. All staterooms have hanging wardrobes and nightstands. Plus, drawer storage and entertainment center.

Superyacht Octopussy is an excellent yacht for the Bahamas, as she has a shallow draft (the depth that she sits in the water) so she can get into many anchorages that bulkier boats cannot access.
Another big plus about Octopussy is her incredible SPEED. There are some beautiful remote islands in the southern Bahamas that are too far away for most yachts to visit during a week-long charter. Most yachts this size cruise at 13 knots. Octopussy cruises at a blazing 25 knots! Octopussy can get to these islands quickly – and the skipper has some personal hidden favorite places to visit – little coves filled with birds, turtles, etc…
