Icon is a 67.50-meter motor yacht, custom built by Icon Yachts in Harlingen, Netherlands. Her exterior styling is by Redman Whiteley Dixon, and her modern interior was designed by Studio Linse.
Superyacht Icon is the first Icon 62 to launch from Icon Yachts. She has a graceful steel hull and aluminum superstructure with a beam of 11.40 meters and a 3.50-meter draft.
Icon can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots with her twin MTU engines, and she has a cruising speed of 13 knots. She has an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles from her 160,000-litre fuel tanks.
Icon offers accommodations for up to 12 guests in 6 suites in 1 owner cabin, 3 double cabins, and 2 twin cabins. She carries 16 crew members on board to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
The owner’s suite has a private flight of stairs with direct access to an owner’s salon, which can be kept private or opened up to guests. The architecture of the outside areas of the yacht gives the exterior its “definitive proportions.” Dramatically staged overhangs with raked superstructure were carefully balanced in profile against the interior volumes, giving the yacht huge amounts of living area for its size.
The yacht ICON has a large fold-out transom beach (“The Beach Club”) terrace with shower, which leads onto an open day-room at the stern. She underwent a major refit in 2014. During the refit, the yacht length extended by 5 meters. In addition, the beach club now holds a larger gym/spa with new equipment, Hammam, and sauna. Additionally, a large pool on the aft main deck, and glass floor panels in the pool. These panels sparkle in the expanded Beach Club below.
Other refit items include a complete repainting of the superyacht, all new audio-visual entertainment equipment, the addition of a Cinema in the main salon, and a more powerful bow thruster to improve stability both at anchor and while underway – further improving the comfort of the yacht charter guests.
Superyacht Icon cruises the Western Med (Riviera, Corsica, Sardinia … Naples, Sicily … Balearics), Eastern Med (Greece, Turkey) in the summer (based in Nice, France), and the Caribbean (Windwards and Leewards … VIrgin Islands, St. Maarten) in the Winter (based in St. Maarten).
